| Requirements |
40 hours per week. Selects, trains, and directs assigned employees to operate assigned swimming pool and associated facilities safely and effectively. Directs and participates in the collecting of admission fees, maintenance of clean and sanitary condtions of facilities and in maintaining appropriate discipline of patrons. Maintains accurate records of fees collected, supplies and equipment used, of pool operations and payroll data of employees. Regularly inspects facility including filtration and chlorinating equipment and notifies appropriate employees of malfunctioning systems. Must have good knowlegde of group activity practices, of swimming pool facilities and operating practices. Must have the ability to train and direct assigned employees to accomplish objectives safely and effectively, to apply First Aid and resuscitation techniques effectively as necessary. Must have ability to maintain accurate records. Must have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with assigned employees, other employees and the general public.
One to two years experience as a life guard or pool manager preferred. Must be currently certified in American Red Cross Standard First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard Training. Current WSI certification preferred, but not required.
